How to scout a location for your
corporate headshot photo session
Keep in mind for a corporate headshot photography session you want to factor in natural light. Ideally, I like all shade as that is best for not adding shadows around your eyes and nose. Patchy light tends to expose light unevenly so I look for an area that has a large area of full shade for my subjects. Just as important is the background for your corporate headshot. As a photographer I look for texture and color where I can shoot it to make the depth of field look like a soft blurry background so my subject POPS! I photograph most of my corporate headshot sessions in San Francisco, Oakland, Petaluma and San Rafael but open to other locations without a travel fee such as Mill Valley, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Healdsberg, Santa Rosa, Napa, Sonoma, Tiburon Belvedere and Sausalito.
